Instrument de prédilection, Noam Bonnand est le compositeur de  plus de 90 oeuvres pour piano seul. 75 d'entre elles sont réunies sur deux albums très différents dans leur forme et leur inspiration. Le son du silence édité en 2001 chez Ready Made Music (15 pièces).  Le son de la vie, 60 pièces courtes qui abordent la plupart des sentiments que jalonne l'existence.
 
Mélodiste inventif ouvert à la technologie, il écrit aussi volontier jingle publicitaires et chansons. Porté aussi bien par la composition que par la littérature, un essai nommé Le cher individu et plus de 1000 poèmes portent sa signature sur des thèmes existentiels. Il a été plusieurs fois édité dans des revues poétiques ainsi qu'à Paris aux éditions de poésie contemporaine Librairie Galerie Racine.
 
PRESENTATION of NOAM BONNAND
Noam Bonnand is the composer of more than 90 pieces for piano solo, his favorite instrument. 75 of his piano pieces are gathered in two albums. Both of them are different in their form and inspiration. LE SON DU SILENCE (The Sound of Silence) , edited in 2001 by Ready Made Music, is composed of 15 pieces and deals with this peculiar moment when you lose a beloved. LE SON DE LA VIE (The Sound of Life) recreates throughout the 60 pieces the main feelings that mark out one's existence.
 
Interested in technology, Noam Bonnand is also a songwriter and a composer of jingle advertisements. Besides his musical works, he wrote an essay entitled "Le cher individu" (The Beloved) and more than 1000 poems on existential subjects. Several of his poems were published in literary magazines. His last poetry book, "Lolo tôtelle" , was published by the Librairie Galerie Racine, a contemporary poetry bookshop, in Paris.

A l'image du titre, l'objectif premier de cet album était de traduire en sons et en musique, ce silence très particulier qui règne lorsqu'un être cher vous a quitté. Ecrit pour piano seul, Le son du silence est un hommage à la disparition de mon grand-père maternel Jean Goujon et à l'homme qu'il était. Au-delà de la représentation du silence, les 15 pièces de l'album raconte à la façon d'un récit, l'accompagnement de l'être cher vers son départ, avec en toile de fond, le tableau célèbre du peintre Arnold Böcklin et son île...
 
A BRIEF PRESENTATION OF THE ALBUM: THE SOUND OF SILENCE
The main objective of this album is to render into sound and music, this very peculiar silence which reigns when a beloved has just passed away.
Written for piano only, THE SOUND OF SILENCE is a my last tribute to my maternal grand-father, Jean Goujon, and to the man he was. Besides the representation of the silence, this 15 pieced-album narrates, with in the background the famous picture of the painter Arnold Böcklin and his island (...) , this last moment spending with a beloved who is about to depart.
THE SOUND OF SILENCE was edited and produced by Ready Made Production Edition 4/4.
 
 
PRESENTATION BREVE LE SON DE LA VIE
A l'image du titre, l'objectif premier de cet album était de traduire de façon concentrée l'essence de la vie en sons et en musique. Ecrit pour piano seul, Le son de la vie comporte 60 pièces courtes (de 40' à 2'30 min) représentant le cycle de la vie, depuis le néant [avant la vie (première et dernière pièce de l'album)], la naissance, les étapes intermédiaires, jusqu'à la fin de la vie. J'ai représenté par des titres d'un mot, la plupart des sentiments clefs qui jalonnent l'existence, ainsi que des thèmes universels qui me paraissaient incontournables et au travers desquels, chaque humain peut aisément s'identifier.

 
A BRIEF PRESENTATION OF THE ALBUM: THE SOUND OF LIFE
As its title evokes, the main objective of this album is to convey, in an intense way,
the essence of life by using sound and music. Written for piano only and composed of 60 short pieces (from 40' to 2'30 min), THE SOUND OF LIFE represents the cycle of life, from nothingness (before life - first and last pieces of the album), including birth, intermediate stages, to the end of life. Each word-title expresses most of the key feelings that mark out the existence, and most of the universal subjects to which anyone can easily identify themselves, and seem to me very crucial.
